Victorian art

During the 1960's Victorian Art was re-evaluated and the importance of the PreRaphaelites was established. Julian Hartnoll was one of the first dealers to be involved in this evaluation. Nowadays the prices of PreRaphaelite paintings is so expensive that he does not stock major paintings, but does from time to time have access to important works coming onto the market.

While the market for paintings has gone to a level out of reach for the average collector, Victorian drawings and works on paper remain accessible to those on a more modest budget.
